Every now and then, I have a blog entry aimed at French speakers… Today is one of these days because I’ll be talking Planète Mirapole.

Planète Mirapole is a book written by Myriam Morand and published on lulu.com. I’ll write the plot below but, as you probably guessed from the introduction of this message, the book is in French. However, feel free to watch the following video because you might recognize the music…

I have to say that I felt very flattered when MyriaM contacted me to ask me if she could use one of my musics for a ‘video trailer’ presenting her first novel. I was a bit sorry that I couldn’t provide her with a better version of the music itself (computer crash, data loss, corrupted back-ups…). I just have this old mp3 with a questionable mixing and no mastering of any kind but it really means something when an artist comes to you and tells you that she wants one particular music of yours to be associated to her project. So, let me say it here: “Thank you MyriaM”.Now, let’s talk about the book a little bit! If you can read French and if you like SF, why not giving a shot? Here is the plot: “Mirapole est une planète condamnée à vivre en autarcie. La famille royale des Melisi y règne sans partage, protégée par des ESPars, êtres humains doués du pouvoir de télékinésie qui vendent leurs services aux plus offrants. Mais le danger couve car les Hordes Sauvages, êtres inhumains dont les rangs grossissent sur le seul continent viable de ce monde maudit, commencent à se rassembler. Féliane, jeune ESPar exilée sur ces terres qui lui sont étrangères, essaie de survivre au milieu de ces différentes forces qui s’entrechoquent.”
