How about checking if we did follow our resolutions for 2009 before making new ones for 2010?

Well sadly enough the results are not so bright as far as I am concerned. Don’t get me wrong, 2009 was a great year for me but still…

Let’s check:

1- Finish my Ph-D: Done ! And properly done actually. That one is a pass.

2- Be a bit more healthy: Overall this one is a fail I’m afraid. The last year of your Ph-D isn’t the best time to get healthy but no more excuses. I again gained 3 kilos this year so here’s my resolution number one for 2010: get back in shape!

3- Go to work at more decent hours: Well… let’s just call this a fail and not comment any further on it…

4- Have and keep a real agenda: I did use an agenda for half the year in 2009 and I just started using one again so let’s make this a two years resolution and hope I’ll be more organized by early 2011. Jury’s still out…

5- Make at least one short music album under creative common: And I dared to say “at least…” -_- Actually, I am quite advanced on “Bits and Pieces”, my first album to be available for download on platforms like Jamendo etc but I am not quite there yet. So, it’s a fail for 2009 but I have to make it in 2010, especially since my friend Mischiev made me a kick ass cover.

6- Update this blog at least twice a month: 25 posts for 52 weeks… close enough, let’s call this a pass! ^^

7?- While I’m talking about this site, get back my google page rank would be nice. I was PR3 at some point and I’ve been PR0 for a year and a half now. Yes! That one is a pass! My website is currently PR3 again and this blog is PR2. I just noticed that a couple of weeks ago but I truly was glad about it. 

So, this gives 3 passes, 3 fails and 1 with the jury still out… Not great but it could have been worse.

Here are my resolutions for 2010 and, I’ll check next year like I just did now!

1- Get back in shape! Get my weight back down, at least lower than 90 kgs.

2- Have and keep a real agenda (see above).

3- Finish and publish “Bits and Pieces” before the end of the year!

4- Make at least one new layout for this website.

5- Finalize at least one of the secret projects I have been having for a while. I know it sounds very mysterious like this but I have 3 things in mind and I’ll use this as a deadline to make those things happen (hopefully ^^). See you in a year to know more about it…  :-p

6?- Keep on increasing my web traffic as fast as in 2009 - thank you everyone by the way for visiting my site!
