I suppose you are right. Your point of view is interesting in any case!
It's a pity I didn't dedicate more time to my blog lately and let it in a sleepy mode because I was really looking forward to getting feedback on this topic.
Nevertheless, I'll probably talk about that again because I told Djou that I would take part in her action next year.

I've been thinking about your comment on homophobia and generational tolerance.
Could be my own generation is indeed more open for historical reasons. Indeed, we are the "Peace and Love" generation. Which included all round sexual liberation.
We're also the women's lib' generation and gay lib' too.
A lot of us were actively involved in the fight for women and gay rights. A lot of those who weren't actively involved still thought equal rights, tolerance and the end of discrimination were a good idea. Goes for racism too, actually.

So, I guess, though some people my age might still feel uneasy around gay couples, be they male or female, exchanging gestures of tenderness, they tend to swallow their unease and accept things for what they are.
On the whole, we do recognize - intellectually at least - that people have the right to love whoever they want - colored, same sex, whatever.

Mind, I may have a rosy view… Could be it's just the kind of people I know ^-^
