Yes, this message is nothing but a shameless advertisement! But don’t get me wrong though, I did not sell my soul to an evil capitalist corporation. I just want to tell you about the second comic book of a friend of mine. It’s named Fleurs de Fées and it’s coming out today (April 2nd, 2009). It’s been drawn by Maëva and I strongly encourage you to discover her art through her website. Note also that the collors were made by Buninou who also has very nice illustrations to discover on her website. Last, the scenario is from Ylric who does not have a website that I know of but I’m sure he’ll appriciate so positive thoughts.

Kidding aside, the comic will be distributed in France and Belgium and, if you feel like supporting a deserving artist, this is a very nice item to buy.

Now, I can hear some of you in the back of the room complaining about the fact that this comic is in French and most of you either speak Dutch or English… True enough but I have some very good news for you! Maëva recently opened a print account on a website named DeviantArt. This means that if you clic on this link, you can order some high quality ceramic mugs or mouse pads with one of the pictures on display.

I actually have several of these mugs and they really are of good quality, I’m dead serious (some of my students even stole one during a practicle once… O_o). Also, for any former member of Si-Webs, I guess you are used to Maëva’s work by now so here is a way to see more of it without waiting for my next presentation (I know, it’s a bit of a private joke, sorry for that). I swear she did not pay me to write this message (though, she may if she wants to :p).

Now that all of that is done (and that you already placed your order for a mug and a book), I also want to say that I truly hope to be able to make an update of the site soon. I have pages waiting since Christmas and I can’t even find and afternoon to put all that together. Actually, I don’t even have time to practice sword fighting anymore neither to go friends birthdays (I’m sorry Ara T_T)… But, I only have about a month and a half to go and my thesis should be complete so I try to keep my spirits up and I’ll keep you posted about the defense because I swear it will be a hell of a party to remember and not to miss!
