Pink Panther by Night
I’m not much of a graphic artist and I’m afraid this picture is just about as good as I will ever get in terms of drawing. 
However, I’m still a musician and I managed to find some time to record a short cover of this all time classic theme: the Pink Panther. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. My idea was to try use the main theme of the Pink Panther and create some kind of dark thriller atmosphere. I had black and white movies from the 50’s in mind when I did that and I used sound effect to give the impression the pink panther is walking along the docks of a large metropolis harbor at night wearing a hat and a trench coat (if you do pick up all of that, you’re pretty good obviously!). One can object that this mp3 is just a sneaky way to create 2′30” of music with a theme only 30” long… Well, it might be right but I still like it that way! :p
On a side note, I noticed that I let things go sloooowwwly when I’m in a blues mode and my other compositions usually are over crowded with too many themes and instruments playing at the same time… I’m still learning after all! Anyway, please, feel free to comment this piece of music, I’ll be looking forward to getting feedback!
Let me just add a bit of context about this piece. A couple of French bloggers created a website a few month ago where they encourage everyone to post musical covers of famous song or themes. There’s a theme that changes monthly and the website is not trying to organize a contest but rather invite musicians of all influences and levels to have fun! I think it’s a really nice idea so I wanted to take part of it and also to promote it. The website is zvok and feel free to talk about it to your friends!
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “This zvok thing is nice but where the Hell are the previews of the movie we are all waiting for?”. Well, actually, I did see some pictures and a short teaser of the Last Stand and it really kicks ass… but it’s bound to remain “inhouse” for the time being. I’m sorry about that but I swear it will be worth the wait… and hopefully, the wait won’t be too long. 
On a side note, I started a while ago to update some pages of my website and to create a small French version but I’m just so freaking busy with my Ph-D that I can’t find the time to finalize it and upload the files. Keep you fingers crossed and, hopefully, there will be some change soon…

Well, I’ve always loved the Pink Panther’s theme, and your variation (I’ve no idea if it’s the right word in English…) on it is quite good. The dark streets, the smoggy night and even a bit of rain are here ! Easy to imagine the coat and hat, by the way… Well done
And I also like very much your PIB (Panther In Black, of course
!). You’re not as bad a drawer.

Thank you. I’ll try to make other bluesy musics of this kind and possibly other covers.
And, about my drawing skills… well, I guess I know so many talented graphic artists that I start to mimic a bit what then do… pretty poorly nonetheless. :p

The rest of it… I swear when I’ll have time, I’ll record the whole thing. Technically, the theme proposed by Zvok was “themes of cartoons and series”. The theme of the animation series “Pink Panther” only consists in the few first bars of the music… It’s a bit far fetched, I know, but I didn’t cheat. ^^
